Hello, I am familiar with phpScheduleIt code, I would like to know if any of you want to contribute in development of iPhone version/app. Please let me know. As Nick has guided me to first write phpScheduleIt web service then iPhone app which in turn will use this web service.
Such project can be too big for me to do it myself, but with a committed team we will sure bring it home!
Thanks!
D.

I'd be very happy to help out with the web service API side of things. The 2.0 code will make this much easier.

Hello phpScheduleIt users!
With Nick agreeing to help where he can, I think is a huge resource already. Please let me know if anyone would like to contribute to this project - we will bring phpScheduleIt to an iPhone app - the plan is simple we write web service for phpScheduleIt then we use this web service to write iPhone phpScheduleIt. Both writing web service and iPhone app is very fun and cool thing to do.
I am trying to gather the resources, so if you have the will and commitment we will go for it! So that we all can book a room from our iPhone!
D.

Hello Nick, For iPhone app (Objective-C language), do we use the Table View style or what type of template for phpScheduleIt? D.

I am not sure what the above post has to do with iPhone project. But anyhow, phpSchedule it is a great software from inside out. Here is how it looks like at our University http://webapps2.ucalgary.ca/~lcrweb/workroom/D.

I would suggest that the phpScheduleIt web service API is written in PHP. This will allow us to support the same environments as we have been.
I'll try to check in a simple example this week.

I'm working on a basic service for authentication. My initial plan is to have RESTful services using simple JSON over HTTP. Any objections?

No objection but what kind of authentication? I suggest LDAP.

Authentication will go through the same components as the application. Ideally everything would hit the same core code, just the front end would be different.
