Dear All,
Excuse my ignorance but I have jump from version 1.2 to 2.2 and I am trying to come to terms with  the new features.  Embarrassed
I notice that there is an entry now for "Additional Attributes" with sub-headings "Test Number" and "Test String" in the Resource dialogue. Also this entry appears when a user is making a resource booking and unless these fields have an entry you will receive  a warning "There are problems with the additional attributes you provided: Test Number is a required field"

I have searched the forums but have not found any information on "Additional Attributes".

q1: What is the purpose of these Additional Attributes?
q2: Is there an option to disable these additional attribute fields? ( I would just like to make booking a resource as painless as possible for users)

Kind Regards:
Joe

you can disable-delete this attributes (logged in as admin)
Application Management > Customization > Attributes

I think Additional Attributes are very useful.

But the appearance (list) of these attributes isn't very attractive yet. I would like them to be listed in columns. Do I have to edit attribute-list.tpl to get this done?

Thanx!

Hi!

The additional attributes appear when clicking a reservation (reservation.php). I wonder if this is a CSS thing or something else.

Thanx!

solution:

Web/css/style.css (line 591)

.customAttributes ul {
    list-style: none outside none;
    padding-top: 2px;
    width: 25%;
}

Thanx Dung!

Your suggestion helped me out Smiley In my case listed attributes are better than options put next to each other..

Cheers!

You can use them to make plugins or edit the core code to use the. Nick has a plugin example on his blog http://php.brickhost.com/blog/?p=74
