Add another level of user

Hello,
I am new to phpScheduleIt and have been playing with the admin settings to try to achieve the system I want.
I run a voluntary training school, where we have instructors and mentors. At this time it seems that the only way for an instructor to get at the blackout availability section is to be made an Admin. However, this also allows access to all other settings, which I would rather not allow. Is it possible to have an intermediate user level that he can use just to get at the blackout facility for his own schedule ?
Also, it would be nice if the blackout was reversed so that the calendar owner puts in his available times rather than have to blackout many many dates and times.
One final thing that would make this product truly fantastic is if each intermediate got the emails for a booking rather than the site admin.
Any suggestions will be welcome.

Great suggestions here.
User roles and schedule availability are both features that will come along with phpScheduleIt 2.0 or higher. I have it on my list to beef up the email functionality, but I'm not sure when that will be done.
