Hi Everybody,

this is a great piece of software you have developed. However, I have been waiting years now to get this Multi- resource reservation available even if beta, whether as  ahck for 1.1 or 1.2 or a newly 2.0.

I have tried myself but without much success. I have seen in earlier posts (2007) that a hack was available but the url is no longer active. Is there anything developed I can get regarding the opportunity to finally have this Multi-resource reservation available, even if not fully tested ?

I deal with videoconferencing and we have many units in different locations. When an event is requested it needs at least two different resources (rooms/locations) to be booked at once rather than having to book then individually without a unique reference number.

Thank you for any word of advice ....

I too am in need of this.

I believe this feature is still in development due to be out in the 2.0 release...

Would appreciate any further updates on this, Nick  Smiley

Hi!

This is for v1.2.

I am not sure if you are a programmer or if you are looking for a ready made solution.

However, when you are in the reservation popup window (/reserve.php) you have a "repeat every" area what will allow you to create multiple reservations from a single reservation form and will link them together, through the parentid field in the reservations table.

I think keeping referential integrity will be important for this feature so that if you come to delete reservation for unit A the linked reservation to unit B should also be deleted.

This is addressed by the "repeat every" feature. I think your best bet is to change the reservation form and hack the feature logic to take the id of another resource (machid) and copy the rest of the original reservation data such as date.

Your thoughts and opinions are welcome

Hi,

well, I wouldn't call myself a programmer but more of a php 'customizer'. Having said that, I have to admit that your 'parentid' indication makes sense but it is probably beyond my abilities.

If anyone is able to hack this a pass on the code I will certainly look to integrate and perhaps further 'customize' it.

Thank you for your cues...
