Working with more than one company

Hello,
I am trying to modify the database so that more than one company can use this at a time with the same application and database.  When I say more than one company I mean that when a user registers it creates a calendar and that user can create users/schedules and so on.  I want to be able to have many users register from different companies and be able to have their own full application.  I think I need to change the login and register layer. Has anyone done this yet?

I actually can't think of a simple way to do this.  You'll likely need to make some pretty significant changes to registration and the permissions system.
