Hi, is there any way of importing users from LDAP. I've searched through the forum and have found a post requesting for the same function somewhere last year. Has this function been integrated ?
Please help or advise.

If you set up LDAP settings correctly in config.php then there is no need to manually import users. They will be validated against their LDAP credentials and the needed information will be imported automatically.

If the secretary is the admin, then this is possible. They would just need to change the "Reserved For" person on the reservation creation window.

but the user (the boss) does not appear in phpShecduleIt until he login for the first time, so even if the assistant is an admin , she still won't see her boss' name because the boss has not yet login to create his user name under phpscheduleit.

I have the exact same scenario and here is what I do:
- Have the assistant, book the resource in her name - in the description filed, just enter why and whom she has booked the resource for on their behalf.

HI folks
1.) I am running the scheduler on Unix and what I want is to authenticate against ldap, I hope that this would mean that users wouldn't have to enter a user name (or email) and password - or that if they did have to enter it then it would be the unix password. Is this possible?
2.) The second scenario is perhaps not as easy but it would be nice, can new users get access via ldap without acutally going through the register as user process?
Thanks!

1) Integrated authentication will be supported in 2.0
2) Currently the users just have to log in with their ldap credentials. phpScheduleIt creates the user record if it doesn't already exists, that way they do not have to register.

No solid estimate yet. It's been much slower going than I expected.
