Hi Guys,
I would be interested in building a new install interface for the new release of phpScheduleIt. You might be saying, "but we already have one". True, but it is a complete nightmare to install this application and could/should be much easier. I don't mean to insult your design...I just want to help and I feel that the install process should be "idiot proof".
I have built many dynamic applications and have always used the same method for installing my applications and db tables.
I think the problem with your application is that the install process is using multiple methods instead of having 1 uniform install process. This can be achieved very easily and I would like to edit the code to make this happen.
If you're interested in my help, let me know and I will explain my theory and proposed method for this.
It really needs to be fixed so anyone, from experienced to expert, from server owner to shared hosting user, can understand and use.
Thanks,

I'd love to have the help.  This is one area that was going to be tackled in the 2.0 rewrite, so this would be a huge help.

Hi Nick,
That's great, I would love to help you out. When is the next release set to go live? What kind of time frame do I have to build this?
Would you like me to post my design ideas here, through PM, email, or what is your preference?

2.0 is still in the very early stages.  With the small amount of time I have to work on it, I would guess that 2.0 will not be complete for several months.  Maybe more.

The best communication channel for development would be through email.
