This gets to be an issue when people are reserving a bunch of additional resources.
Hmm, another idea is to use abbreviations in
tiny print in lieu of icons
So I might have
Maurice's reservation(FC, BT)
(FC = flash camera, BT = big tripod)
Finally, the reservation space--in grid view--could be made wider vertically all across its width when there are "additional resources". "additional resources" would then go into this space, a "second" line if you will.

I'd also consider an option to widen the display horizontally to accommodate the text of the reservation in grid view. The display would be wider horizontally all along its height for whenver there was any reservation in that time slot, wide enough to acommodate the text.
I wonder if text can be presented in a condensed format.
My goal is to be able to scan the schedule quickly and see
every resource in use at once.
