New installation. eMail is not working. I also have Moodle installed on the same server. That email is working. When comparing the two logs the only difference is the Booked sends a command to STARTTLS. Moodle does not. How do I modify Booked so it does not send the STARTTLS command?

change this line in your config file:

Code:
$conf['settings']['phpmailer']['smtp.secure'] = 'tls';

to

Code:
$conf['settings']['phpmailer']['smtp.secure'] = '';

Greetings,

Thank you. I tried that and it did not work. After a little hit and miss I found the correct php file to modify. In class.smtp.php I commented out 349-352 and added 354 to return true. It is a kludge to deal with our older smtp relay server so not sure if anyone else will ever need this, but just in case here it is.

348    public function startTLS()
349    {
350      //if (!$this->sendCommand('STARTTLS', 'STARTTLS', 220)) {
351        //    return false;
352        //}
353
354      return true;
355
356         //Allow the best TLS version(s) we can
