It seems that after upgrading to 1.2 there is a different email check that doesn't allow for alpha-numberic style addresses.  Half of my users have usernames like 3abc@something.something.ca.  Now adding new users, as well as having a user modify anything in their profile results in an error, "Valid email address is required."  Does anyone have an idea where the validation occurs, I'm sure it would be a small modification to allow for these types of addresses.
