Make Bookings Link Open Reservation Window

Hi.

I want to simplify things a bit for my users to reserve equipment. I would like to have them click on the bookings link and it would just popup with the reservation window and even add a drop down menu to it so the user can select the piece of equipment they want. I do like the ajax calendar table but its definitely going to be confusing for my users to use without training.
