Hello!

I am experience an infinite redirect loop after the installation.

When I try to access http://myserver.com/phpScheduleIt/Web, I end up at an error page (http://myserver.com/phpScheduleIt/Web/error.php?mid=0&redirect=index.php) which says that there have been too many redirects.

How do I go about resolving this? Any advice? Please let me know if any additional information is required! Thanks!

Got it figured out! My tpl & tpl_c permissions weren't set to 777. Just wondering if it's safe to leave them as such? Sorry for the noob questions.. Undecided

I tried setting it to 770 as per the installation instructions but it results in the redirect loop, whereas 777 fixes it.

just installed phpscheduleit remotely for the first time (was using it on a local network using xampp up til now) version 2.4.2 had this exact same issue, and this fix worked for me as well. had to change settings for the tpl folders from 755 to 777

Hmm. I'll update the instructions to be 755. Thanks!

the tpl folders have to be 777. 755 won't work. just those two folders. when i installed to a remote server the default was 755 and it sent me to an error page.

That's nuts. Let me look into the Smarty documentation.

That's nuts. Let me look into the Smarty documentation.

to give you more specific information:

i'm hosted with liquidweb

the issue is specifically group-write and world-write permissions. when i upload a web-app, it defaults to 755. the tpl and tpl_c folders have to be 777. the rest of the folders are fine at 755 (although i haven't tried uploading images for resources, the uploads folder may require 777 as well)

if the tpl and tpl_c folders are set to 755, firefox pops up this message:

Quote
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
