I am putting phpSheduleIt on our network behind our portal. Basically I want the user to login through our portal and be redirected to schedule.php. So I guess what I am needing to do is have phpSheduleIt automatically login. Is there a way to do this, or do you have any other suggestions?

Take a look at the krb5 authenication plugin. This is a good starting point for doing what you're looking to do.
