All,

I'm trying to install 2.1, but get stuck with the following error when trying to install the database:

It looks like it gets part way through the database install, then fails.  Any ideas?  I'm using mysql 5.1.

Thanks in advance,
Antonio

This is misleading. Your database is actually all set, but the installer thinks it's not. I'm fixing this now, thanks!

Thanks.  Should everything work in spite of this error?  When I try to create a login, I get the following error:

Thanks again,

I have come across this with a couple of people who have had a file corrupted either editing or transferring. Most likely the config.php. Try renamining your config to config.old. Get a new copy from config dist and then re-enter the settings in your new file and upload it.

May not be this but a couple of others has a similar problem and this fixed it.

That's a good suggestion.  I'd also suggest turning on logging to get a more detailed description of what is breaking.
