Echo custom field to "show summary"?

Hi,
First of all, thank you for such wonderful and free software. It's very pleasant to work with and it seems many many people are thankful to have it.
Now, I'm trying to use it for a small car rental company, just to store reservations and car servicing schedules etc.
So, following the guide on Sourceforge, I added a couple of custom fields "Pickup Location" and "Dropoff Location". I think it would be beneficial if I could see these particular fields echoed to the showsummary area on the calender view. i.e, rather than just the summary and/or name of a person being visible on the calender view, you can also, at a glance, see the locations etc etc.
Is this possible? Can I just echo the values of the new fields to the "showsummary" object or would I have to add in all new separate code for the new fields, mimicing the showsummary? I'm not very knowledgeable at php or otherwise but I can delve into anything and change what I need to.
Thanks.

Sorry for double post, but with a bit of digging around I found I could do this by editing the "prefixNameonSummary" field in lib/Schedule.class.php
I don't know if it's the best way, but hey...it works.
