Hello there,

First of all, I'd like to say that I think this is a really well supported community AND I am really happy with everything that phpScheduleIt has to offer. Very rarely do I find myself scrounging for an answer.

With that, there is one little thing that I'm trying to understand / see if it's even possible. We'd like the users of our phpScheduleIt deployment ( v 1.2.8 ) to be able to sync their schedule in phpScheduleIt to their schedule in Outlook. I understand that there is the ical.php feature, but would it be possible to tweak this so that if a particular user changes something in their phpScheduleIt schedule, it would also automatically update it in their Outlook calendar? I'm thinking something like (please excuse the elementary code example):

If (JohnDoe.RecordChange)
{
update.hisOutlookCalendarToo;
}

Obviously they'd have to download something initially at one point, and obviously they'd have to configure some things on their own. I realize that some of this might sound too general, so hit me up with some questions!

Thanks for your time,
Justin

An active sync to Outlook is a great idea, but I'm not sure how to do it yet.  I'll research this a bit.  If it turns out to be possible I'll include it in the 2.0 code because this sounds like a feature that a lot of people would use.

If that's not possible, how about just attaching the meeting to an email?  Opening it through Outlook should sync it to Outlook.

Thanks!

Sounds excellent Nick - yes, do it! Include it in the 2.0 code!

My optimistic guess is before the end of this year.  Alpha 1 is currently available.  Alpha 2 should be out tomorrow.

Excellent, thanks..

In the future we'll be needing some custom modifications to our deployment of phpScheduleIt... Could you point us in the direction of a good technical resource? We belong to a well connected network of digital marketers (1000+ offices) - so the opportunity for a continuous stream of work / income is ripe for the picking. Our hourly rate is negotiable.

Please let me know!

I don't have any personal recommendations.  You can always post to these forums and see if there is interest.

This is available. There is an Export to Outlook link on the reservation.

yes but that is only for specific events... and you have to add it yourself to the outlook calendar...

it would be better if there was a link between phpscheduleit and outlook so the events are auto-added to my outlook calendar as soon as the person makes a event/reservation...
